About Us
Starting from the great breeder Jacqueline Fraser (now O'Neil), the original Fraja Am Staffs, we believe we have maintained our lines' consistency and type over the last 30+ years. Some of her original greats were Ch Fraja's Black Maria, CD, and CH Fraja Maria's Tia Maria (co-owned with Jon King). In 1977 Dr. Jon King, DVM started the Fraja EC (East Coast) line with that bitch.. Tia Maria produced multiple champions including the top winning bitch of her time Ch Kirkee's Polar Bear of Fraja EC, CD, and a strong part in the future of this line, Ch. Fraja EC Dodge City.
Around 1986 at the suggestion of Dr. King, John McCartney took over the Fraja EC line.
Ch Fraja's Thunder Battery was our foundation bitch for this breeding program. "Dagmar" was bred to Ch Sindelar's Sonny Boy of Tara and history was made! John and I continued this breeding program for 10+ years. A line which has produced dogs like Ch Fraja EC Winning Ticket, Ch Fraja EC Sonny Girl, Ch Fraja EC Ruff Rider, CH Fraja EC Young Rider, Ch Fraja EC Golden Boy, Ch Fraja EC Gold Standard, Ch Fraja EC Thunder Cloud, Ch Sindelar's Gentleman Jim, Ch Fraja EC Hot Ticket. In 2004, John retired from breeding and Ellen and I moved forward as a team in making Fraja EC, Reg. more diverse.
We have incorporated a few different dogs in our program that we felt were necessary to grow. Roadhouse Kennels, Castle Rock, and Vaca Valley Am Staffs play a big part of it. Now having great dogs like CH Castle Rock's CA Blue Stars, GCHS Vaca Valley's Bold Ruler for Fraja EC, GCH AJ Artillery's Party Boy and GCHP Roadhouse's Life of the Party CA CGCA DN RATO to incorporate far into the future is only going to make Fraja EC stronger.
